A modern website overhaul for book designers Herman Lelie and Stefania Bonelli, built for effortless content updates.
The Problem:
The original website was beautifully designed, but the user interface had some interesting challenges that would confuse visitors. Part of the charm of the site was the 'human' design, which required absolute positioning of images on the homepage and other layout pages. There were lots of qualities in this version, and it was clearly a labour of love.
The Solution:
We methodically identified the interface conundrums and found resolutions for all of these in consultation with the client.
We migrated the data to the modern cloud CMS Sanity and developed a bespoke layout module so the client could easily change the homepage design using a WYSIWYG editor directly embedded in the Sanity editor.
